Editorial Internship At ARTsouthAFRICA 2015

Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in writing and/or an excellent command of the English language, access to a computer, who are able to dedicate 40 hours per week for editorial meetings and working sessions for a 3-month commitment need apply. You must be comfortable working in a non-traditional work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Editorial research, copy editing and fact checking

  • Assisting with researching and coordinating interviews

  • Taking part in editorial meetings

  • Liaising with contributors as well as other correspondence

  • Social Media assistance

  • Potential to pitch and write (both internal and external copy)


Basic Requirements

  • Computer literacy (knowledge of Word, Excel etc.)

  • Design knowledge/skills would be advantageous (Adobe InDesign as well as Photoshop)

  • Detail-oriented, highly organised and self-motivated

  • Good knowledge of the creative industry and/or an interest in contemporary art (an art-oriented background would be advantageous, but is not a requirement)
