HDI Youth Marketeers Intern 2015

HDI Youth Marketeers is a specialist youth marketing company that makes brands relevant and cool to kids, teens and young adults a.k.a. the most exciting target audience in marketing. We're also a company of dreamers, lovers, doers and thinkers.

Now we're looking for a young and dynamic intern who is passionate about the youth; someone who is full of energy and is keen for a challenge. You'll be joining a team of passionate marketing professionals who live by a simple creed: young hearts, brave minds. It means we never stop looking for bigger ideas and better ways to engage, inspire, entertain and educate the youth in a fun and interactive manner; essential fuel for our approach and our industry.
You will be required to assist in an administrative role, performing tasks such as making bookings and liaising with outside suppliers. Your set of skills should include: telephone etiquette, negotiation, planning and budgeting, assisting in the development and implementation of strategy plans; and general office administration.

HDI will require you to multi-task and work under pressure. Key areas of involvement will include: Effective monitoring of allocated tasks, prioritising all tasks and effectively managing your time, and maintaining, initiating strong media relationships.


Relevant Degree/Diploma
Understanding of research methodologies and execution of research
Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
Computer literacy in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Drivers license and own transport is essential

Some prior experience is preferable

Responsibilities include inter alia

Maintain good relationships with all staff
Day-to-day office administration
Ensure all briefs to internal stakeholders are accurately written and are timeously executed
Follow and maintain all internal processes and procedures in executing your role, in order to maintain the agency's smooth running
In-filed visits and evaluations
Actively participate in business development brainstorming and planning sessions
Compile and maintain recruitment database for the WC
Maintain relationships with in-field team members
Target monitoring and coordination
Operations status coordination and management (learners reached, schools planned, calls made, stock delivered, on hand, etc.)
Management of weekly/monthly reports (status, stock sheets, control sheets, planning schedules)
