Internships at the University of Venda 2015

The University of Venda in partnership with the Services Seta offers an internship/experiential learning opportunity to South African graduates and Experiential Learners in various fields. Applications are invited from candidates in areas of specialization or disciplines listed below and who are willing to be placed in the stipulated host employers. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of up to R 4 000.00 per month.

Applicants will be placed in various host employers within the Vhembe District and candidates should thus apply for an available position as advertised in the host employer where they would like to be placed.

The internship/experiential learning programme is offered for a period of 12 months. Successful applicants will be required to sign an internship/experiential learning contract for one year.

Only university and TVET College graduates with Diplomas, Bachelors, Honours, BTech or Masters Degree qualifications may apply. TVET and University of Technology students who need experiential training of 12 months and above may also apply.


Unemployed South African graduates and TVET and University of Technology students needing experiential learning. Applicants should not be older than 35 years. Candidates with disabilities and women are encouraged to apply.

Submit an application letter stating clearly the discipline or area of specialisation that the applicant is applying for, as well as, the host employer where the position is based. Please include an updated curriculum vitae, certified copies of original qualifications, academic transcripts and a copy of a South African ID document. No email or faxed applications will be considered.
