HR Coordinator Internship at Metropolitan 2015

Metroplitan invites applications for two fantastic HR Coordinator Internship opportunities commencing in January 2016. The above-mentioned position is currently available in the Human Resources department at the Infrastructure and Operations division based in Bellville and Centurion.

The intern will be responsible to support the HR Business Partner in the following areas:

  • To assist and support the HR Business Partners and the HR team in general.

  • Assist in various areas of Excellence such as: Learning and Development, Recruitment, Employment Equity, Reward and Recognition, Leadership Development, Talent Management, etc.

  • HR Administration:

  • Assist in administration pertaining to the relevant HR functions. Assist staff in the people People Soft system and guide them to the People Soft helpline

  • Assist the HR Business Partners with the operational admin items in the values function.

  • Assist in booking and making arrangements for quarterly follow up interviews and exit interviews.

  • Responsible for the administration around the Induction process

  • Assist in the administration that is involved with regards to various workshops such as Crucial Conversations and Way of Work.

  • Assist in the capturing of training on People Soft.

  • Support the relevant HR Business partner with the WSP / ATR reports administration.


Requirements

  • A relevant Administration / HR qualification or any other related qualification that pertains to HR

  • Between the ages of 18-25

  • Currently not in a permanent position or unemployed

  • An individual who has strong thinking abilities and who is willing to be open to learn new skills.

  • Very well organised with a strong attention to detail;

  • Ability and willingness to work under pressure;

  • Computer literacy in MS Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Good communication skills and pleasant disposition;

  • Strong Numerical skills;

  • Ability to display initiative and a “can do” attitude;

  • Ability and willingness to work under pressure;

  • Sound administration, planning and coordination skills;

  • Ability to work in a cohesive, motivated and supportive team;


The role is an ever evolving role based on the growth of the business unit and the individual fit; therefore it is best suited for an individual who is performance driven and can handle pressure.
