PR And Marketing Graduate At Geneisis Analytics 2015

All honours students in English, Communications and any other associated subject/s.

Genesis Analytics is an economics consulting company based in Hyde park Johannesburg.

We have an exciting opportunity for a graduate to grow and develop within the company assisting us with PR and marketing.

The purpose is to drive initiatives, processes and procedures related to Public Relations both internal and external to the company.


- Plan and execute major company events and campaigns
- Develop an events calendar
- Participate and manage career exhibition stands
- Develop and maintain PR material for business and talent
- Ensure that events are in line with the budget and also participate in workshops to continuously up skill
- Procure and maintain marketing collateral such as t-shirts, pens etc
- Responsible for corporate sponsorship activities and recommendations as per the marketing plan
- To develop and maintain relationships with the media, coordinating the appropriate channels as per the marketing plan
- Liaise with advertising and other agencies (briefing and debriefing)
- Coordinate G:News input on a bi-monthly basis from all practice areas
- Edit and collate all input and disseminate G:News to the Company as well as ensuring it is on the GS site
- Liaison with the web master on a regular basis
- Ensuring all closed out projects are timeously updated on an ongoing basis - need to liaise directly with PA's to ensure nothing is missed and the correct process for close out is followed by them
- Ensure consistency of look and feel for all updates, amendments and additions with CI compliance top of mind
- Custodian of the Content Management System that enables updates to the website
- Briefing the copy editor on new content and liaising to ensure the desired outcome
- Receiving suggestions from staff about the website, evaluating these for usefulness and implementing appropriate changes
- Ensure all Genesis staff have updated and relevant profiles on Linked-In and monitoring this regularly
- Ensure all Genesis Alumni have updated their Linked-In profiles post leaving the company
- Assisting with marketing requirements and CI compliance
- Assisting with values campaigns to embed the values and keep them alive and relevant
- Updating the Resources site to ensure it remains relevant including being aware of any changes in policies, new hires, exits including Phakamani
- Updating all website and social media content - Linked In for Genesis and Phakamani
- Assisting with any ad hoc GS initiatives and projects
- Business card management including ensuring that all business cards are printed for new staff, monitoring usage and looking for cost effective alternatives

- A minimum of an honours degree in English, Marketing or Public Relations
- Excellent command of the English language ( English first language)
- Skilled at researching, investigating and gathering information from internet site resources;
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Engaging personality
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Well organised
- Perseverance
- IT literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and GMail
- Ability to communicate effectively over email and the Internet/ Social media site
- Confident communicator with people at all levels
