The incumbent will assist with the administration functions within the CSIR Employee Relations Office. This position is based in Pretoria.
Under the leadership and guidance of the Employee Relations Team, the Intern will assist with the following:
Provide general secretarial support to ensure the manager functions effectively including diary coordination, travel arrangements and filing;
Prepare documents by typing and data capturing (letter, faxes, e-mails, reports) under clear directions;
Prepare documents for all meetings.
Receive and dispatch documentation;
Source information by performing limited information searches;
Organise meetings and events by making arrangements under clear direction. Liaises with managers and provides meeting details, books meeting rooms and arranges refreshments including other logistics;
Draft agendas and takes minutes;
Ensure the office functions effectively with regards to equipment, stationery etc.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
A national diploma in secretarial studies or administration;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written);
Computer literacy and proficient in MS Suite;
Good telephonic skills;
Good organisational skills;
Ability to pay attention to detail;
Must be a team player.
