Administrator
- Assisting with day-to-day publicity tasks
- Assisting with projects managed by the department
- Regularly updating departmental databases
- Filing - organising press information and clippings
- Performing diverse functions as may be required from time to time
Writing and generation of content
- Acting as back up for compiling, proof-reading and distributing the schedule to key media.
- Collating departmental project information (synopses, highlights, pics e.t.c.)
Media relations
- Attending to and assisting with handling different media interviews
Events
- Sending out invites
- Attending and assisting at various publicity functions e.g. press conferences, press visits and photo shoots
- Assisting with internal communications events
Requirements
- Public relations diploma or related communications degree
- Effective administration skills to plan work schedule and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Problem solving and strategic thinking
- Ability to accept and provide constructive feedback
- Ability to incorporate outside opinions into copy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Maintain a healthy sense of urgency while showing flexibility
