Internship Programme at Services SETA 2016

ServiceS SETA has offered to contract Insika Foundation NPC, for project management and the implementation of this programme within the host employers of choice in Gauteng. To this regard we are seeking suitable interns to participate in this programme for a period of 12 months and 18 months respectively. Services SETA has the following scope of coverage:

  1. Cleaning Services

  2. Domestic Services

  3. Hiring, Human Resource Management

  4. General Business, Business Management, Financial Management, Accounting, Bookkeeping and Logistic

  5. Labour Recruitment

  6. Marketing Management

  7. Personal Care, Care giver

  8. Project Management

  9. Property Management

  10. Postal, Office Admin

  11. Engineering Studies (Mechanical, Civil Engineering etc)


An internship is a structured and monitored workplace experience gained through exposure and interactions within a real work environment.

All other employment categories are welcome to apply. Below are the three types of available internship programmes:

LP05: Internship entering workplace

This is a 12-month workplace experience programme designed for candidates who have already completed an NQF Level 5 and higher qualification that is relevant for employment in the services sector, but have not yet gathered the necessary practical experience to enable them to obtain employment.


Duration: 12 months, stipend: R2 500.LP06: Internships TVET (formally known as FET) pat Nated Qualification (N6 only)

This is an 18-month workplace experience programme designed for candidates who have already completed an N6 qualification relevant for employment in the services sector, but have not yet gathered the necessary practical experience to enable them to obtain a National Diploma
Duration: 18 months, stipend: R1 500.

LP07: Internships TVET (formerly known as FET) post NCV and vocational Qualification

This is a 12-month workplace experience programme designed for candidates who have already completed an NQF level 1,2,3 or 4 national vocational qualification that is relevant for employment in the services sector, but have not yet gathered the necessary practical experience to enable them to obtain employment.


Duration: 12 months, stipend: R1 500.Conditions:

  • Candidates must be unemployed, not participating in any other skills development programme/project funded by any other public institution and must reside in Gauteng.

  • Original certified copy of ID

  • Original certified qualifications

  • Proof of residence (Indicate the Municipality and the Municipal ward)

  • Medical proof of disability, where applicable
