Payroll Graduate at GlaxoSmithKline 2016

GlaxoSmithKline, a pharmaceutical company, seeks a Payroll Graduate to join them in Bryanston, Gauteng. The purpose of the position is to assist with the administer all aspects of the Bryanston salary payroll. Ensure the payroll information are accurately transferred and reflected in the JDE general ledger.Requirements
  • Matric
  • Accounting Degree
  • Looking towards studying a CIMA/ BCom/ CA/ CFA Graduate
  • Less than 1 year working experience.
  • Experience working within Salaries Administration functions will be benifitial.
  • Good working knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment Act & UIF
  • Good basic knowledge of the payroll related tax principles such as PAYE
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of Ms-Excel and Word
  • Receives and collates all payroll related documentation for all employees based in Bryanston.
  • Assist with calculating salary payroll data for input into the computerised CRS salary system.
  • Assist with processing payroll and run reports monthly.
  • Checks completed payroll to ensure the correct salary and deductions for each employee are paid.
  • Ensures that the payroll exception and variance reports are submitted to the Shared Services Manager monthly for review and authorisation.
  • Prepare IRP 5 reconciliations in line with SARS requirements for review by Shared Services Manager.
  • Issues IRP 5 certifiactes to employees at the end of every tax year or when an employee emigrates during the year, to fulfill legal requirements.
  • Ensures accurate payment of HR expenditure received for staff recruitment, staff loans, staff floats and advances and all confidential requests.
  • Handles all Payroll Queries.
  • Manage Payroll Inbox/Ticketing system
  • Reconciles Salary Control Accounts for Authorisation by Shared Service Manager.
  • Ensures updating and maintaining of tables and parameters  in the CRS System whenever necessary to ensure correct calculations from staff salaries i.e.
  • Completes payroll surveys where required
  • Completes general ad-hoc related projects when required.
