1. Investment Banking Programme
Fancy yourself a mover and shaker? Investment banking drives the megadeals that make a difference to companies and countries.

2. Transactional Products and Services
TPS delivers Investor Services, Transactional Banking, and International Trade Services to established and emerging mark.

3. Risk Graduate programme
There’s only one thing we take more seriously than reducing risk and ensuring that our business makes the best decisions today, and that is finding the people with the skill and staying power to help shape how we do it tomorrow.
Qualifications: Minimum Honours BCom or BSc. You must have studied accounting, engineering, finance, risk management, statistics or economics.
4. Global Markets programme
Love playing the markets? Then Global Markets may be the place for you. Our international team offers trading, sales, structuring and risk management solutions to our clients across global financial markets, including FX, commodities, equity, credit, fixed income and debt instruments.

5. Client Coverage Programme
Are you a networker, an influencer, or a problem solver? If so, you may be ideal for Client Services. Our graduate programme gives you the opportunity to build your industry knowledge as you interact with some of South Africa’s biggest corporates, in the process developing in-depth knowledge of our clients.

6. IT Graduate programme
Can you imagine a time when you couldn’t make a payment or check your balance online? Financial services is increasingly an IT-driven business. Our ability to deliver cutting edge services on digital platforms is key to our survival as a bank. CIB IT is the backbone of the CIB businesses of Global Markets..
Qualifications: Minimum Honours Degree. You must have studied Information Science, Information Systems, Computer Science or Advanced Mathematics of Finance.
7. Finance Graduate programme
Finance has a certain pedigree at Standard Bank – nearly all of the bank’s senior management come from a financial background. We want candidates who strive for excellence in everything they do, and enjoy working as part of a team. You should have a genuine passion for finance and financial markets and want to push the boundaries to help further the business whilst maintaining a strong control focus.
Qualifications: Minimum Honours preferably in; Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Statistics, Economics, IT, Accounting, Finance, (though other subjects may be considered if appropriate skillset can be demonstrated).
