Digital Media Intern at Greenpeace Africa 2016

Greenpeace Africa is an environmental campaigning organization with offices in Southern, West and Central Africa. The organization is currently seeking for Digital Media Intern to join its communications team, based in Dakar, Sénégal.
  • Create and develop pages for our website, fix bugs and propose new functionalities.
  • Actively create content for our social media accounts, creating an interactive space where people can engage with Greenpeace Africa
  • Strengthen relationships with existing supporters online, and ensure that we increase our reach.
  • Offer support to the digital media team where needed.
  • Very good knowledge of HTML and other website coding language (CSS, PHP, JS)
  • Online experience with social media, blogging, and working with online content. Excellent command of French both written and oral and good understanding of English language
  • Experience working with a CMS
  • Preference to candidate with good knowledge and understanding of Greenpeace’s missions and values.
  • A high level of emotional intelligence;
  • Excellent Interpersonal (Trust, Respect) and communication skill.
  • Must be initiative highly motivated / enthusiastic/ energetic.
  • A persuasive and influential communicator;
  • Extremely rigorous, attentive to detail, and serious in delivering assigned missions
  • Professional and result oriented
  • Value diversity
  • Tertiary education in coding, web design or digital communications
  • Excellent level of French imperative and a good level of English would be an advantage
  • Access to own transport
