Scheduling Interns Opportunities at M-Net 2016

M-Net seeks to appoint 2 pro-active and dedicated individuals to assume responsibility as Scheduling Interns in South Africa, as well as the Rest of Africa (RoA). The successful candidates will report to the Head of Content Planning and Scheduling and be based at our offices in Randburg.

Duties and Responsibilities

Services and information which the individual must provide to external individuals or groups, or one another to accomplish the organization’s mission and strategy:
  • Creative and innovative scheduling across the M-Net Local Interest Channels
  • Ensure all relevant information is updated in Synergy and available at all times
  • Ensure accuracy and creativity in scheduling, as well as maximum exposure of all good movie content
  • Ensure that all schedules are sent out and available to all business units as per agreed timelines
  • Execute programme changes and inform other divisions timeously of all changes
  • Ensure scheduling across is compliant, yet creative and appropriate for the market
  • Compile write-off and edit lists for ROA
  • Ensure all PC ratings are adhered to
  • Ensure for all programme changes the other divisions are timeously notified
  • Ensure that all schedules are sent out to all Business Units
  • Follow up on all traffic related issues
  • Assist in all ad-hoc projects
  • A relevant graduate degree is essential
  • Prior media experience will be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of and a passion for movies is essential
  • Knowledge and experience in Synergy and Paradigm will be an advantage
  • Computer literacy (PowerPoint, Excel etc.) is essential
