The Wits Centre for Exercise Science and Sports Medicine at Intern Biokineticists

The Centre for Exercise Science and Sports Medicine was established in response to the Faculty of Health Science’s initiative in developing various aspects of Sport Science in the broadest sense of the term.

This led to the establishment of the Centre in 2004, with the aims of addressing issues of academic development, research and service delivery in the focus and niche areas of the field.

The Wits Centre for Exercise Science and Sports Medicine is accredited for positions for Intern Biokineticists.

Candidates who have or will be completing their Honours degree in Biokinetics and interested in completing their internships in an environment that nurtures teaching and learning in all fields of Biokinetics, are invited to submit applications.

The positions are full-time one-year contracts that attract competitive remuneration packages.

Brief Description

1. A letter of motivation indicating reasons for wanting to complete their internship at Wits
2. An updated, detailed CV which should include involvement with sport and community service in the
3. Undergraduate results (certified copies) and latest postgraduate results
4. Two references - and we encourage one to be from the department where the biokinetics
honours degree is being undertaken
