Isiqalo - Waves for Change Traineeship Opportunity 2016

The Isiqalo Foundation was founded as a CBO (community based organisation) in March 2009 and is well known for its use of sport as a tool for development. It's most successful programme is 'waves for change' - a surfing programme that provides psychosocial support to at-risk youth through a network of trained community coordinators.

Isiqalo Foundation seeks to appoint Trainees, based at the Waves for Change Surf Therapy Operations in Cape Town.

Founded in 2012, Waves for Change is a multi-award winning African Surf Therapy organization that works to alleviate symptoms of trauma and stress in young people from backgrounds of poverty and violence.

This is a full time until 2018.

  • Community Outreach
  • Personal Performance
  • Mentoring of Youth
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Enjoy being in the water and have the ability to swim/surf
  • Passionate about working with kids and their wellbeing
  • Must be18-24 years’ old
  • Have a police clearance/have applied for it
