WRC Internship Programme 2016

The Water Research Commission (WRC) is a dynamic hub for water-centred knowledge, innovation and intellectual capital, providing leadership for research and development through the support of knowledge creation, transfer and application. 

It engages stakeholders and partners involving water-related problems, which are crucial to South-Africa’s sustainable development and economic growth, and is committed to promoting a better quality of life for all. 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the Pretoria-based position of:
Intern (12 month Internship Programme)

Salary: R 150 945. 89 per annum total Cost to Company.

This position calls for an energetic and recently qualified graduate to gain experience in an office administrative environment at the Water Research Commission. The purpose of the Internship Programme is to provide a young graduate with an opportunity to learn more about the business operations of the Water Research Commission and prepare them for the world of work.

The ideal candidate should be in possession of Matric or equivalent NQF level qualification as well as a three year undergraduate Diploma or Degree. A valid driver’s license is essential.

The Internship runs over a period of 12 months and covers extensive training and development opportunities in selected disciplines whereby you will be able to gain a full understanding of the business operations. The programme consists of a structured work-plan combined with on the job training designed to fast track your professional development. In addition the Intern will be assigned a mentor who will provide guidance and support thereby ensuring that you build up the skills and experience you will need for the world of work.
