United Herzlia Schools Learnership Opportunity 2016

United Herzlia Schools is an independent Jewish Day School. We are seeking competent, dedicated and energetic individuals who wish to gain work experience whilst studying part-time. A student teacher will receive a monthly stipend, plus a contribution towards academic fees.

The successful candidate will:
  • Be studying or intending to study in 2017 towards a formal teaching qualification through UNISA (B Ed/PGCE).
  • Be flexible to assist in any aspect of teaching, and be willing to do 2 extra murals per week.
  • Be open to being mentored and coached, to develop pedagogy skills and competencies.
  • Have a high level of competency in ICT and be willing to learn about Google Apps for Education, Smartboards, Android and Apple devices.
  • Learn how to integrate technology into the curriculum by using various electronic media in the classroom.
  • Be able to work in an inclusive environment.
