Software Engineering Internship at Ithemba Labs 2017

iThemba LABS brings together scientists working in the physical, medical and biological sciences. The facilities provide opportunities for modern research, advanced education, the treatment of cancers, and the production of unique radioisotopes.

Aid in the full development lifecycle of software applications for ion beam data analysis.

Minimum Requirements: 
B.Sc. in Computer Science or Physics, or tertiary equivalent Skills and attributes:

 Ability to develop software in C, C++, JavaScript, Python
 Experience developing software on Linux and Windows based platforms
 Good knowledge of relational databases
 Experience in designing graphical user interfaces
 Proficiency in using source control systems like Git, SVN
 Proficiency in using project management systems like Redmine, JIRA
 Ability to communicate well technically and frequently with clients and collaborators

Duties will include but are not limited to:

 Producing specifications based on client requirements
 Clearly documenting software functionality and code
