Intern Management Support X at T-Systems 2017

Positions based in Midrand and Cape Town (Applicants must reside in GAUTENG and OR CAPE TOWN Please).

Main purpose of the job:

To work in close co-ordination with the senior management / directorial staff to provide administrative support.


Criteria for selection:
  • Applicants must be South African citizens;
  • Have completed a Diploma / Degree in Business Management or Office Administration or equivalent and be able to demonstrate good academic record and achievements;
  • MUST NOT: Not have previously participated in an internship or graduate programme;
  • Have no work experience in the field of study;
  • A recent graduate (Between - 2011-2016);
  • Considered a youth (18-27 years);
  • Verified qualification certificate and no criminal record;
  • Effective communication in English (written and verbal);
  • Computer literacy (MS Office - basic Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
  • Prepared to undergo psychometric assessments.

  • Key areas of responsibility:
  • Screening telephone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate;
  • Meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority;
  • Organising and maintaining diaries and organising appointments;
  • Dealing with incoming email, faxes and post, corresponding on behalf of the manager when required;
  • Taking minutes in meetings
  • Carrying out background research and presenting findings;
  • Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations;
  • Organising and attending meetings and ensuring their manager is well-prepared for meetings;
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff;
  • Deputising for the manager, making decisions and delegating work to others in the manager's absence;
  • Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management, filing, etc.
  • Arranging travel and accommodation and, occasionally, travelling with the manager to take notes or dictation at meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations.
  • Carrying out specific projects and research;

  • Taking on some of the manager's responsibilities and working more closely with management;
