Internships: Project Management (Two opportunities) (Twelve months contract).

About the job:

The CSIR has two Internship opportunities in the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Meraka Institute.

The purpose of the Internship is to equip newly graduates with practical work experience and provide them with exposure of Project Management Life Cycle process.

These opportunities are based in Pretoria.

Key responsibilities:
 Route project proposals documentation for approval;
 Assist with preparing project and contract registration forms and project plan;
 Create project start-up file and update accordingly;
 Obtain project status feedback from various stakeholders and record in relevant status document;
 Provide inputs and prepare documents required by relevant governance committees;
 Perform continuous quality checks and report anomalies to Project Manager;
 Assist with capturing documentation into appropriate document management system;
 Assist with project administration.

Qualifications, skills and experience:
 A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, informatics, information systems, computer science / engineering;
 Experience in either of the following is essential:
o Administration and/or co-ordination;
o Business or process analysis;
 Knowledge and experience in Microsoft PowerPoint / Excel / Visio / Project or similar software;
 Verbal and numerical skills;
 Attention to detail;
 Team player;
 Goal oriented and deadline driven.
