Social Media Assistant Internship at Perform 2017

A successful candidate will be a young and vibrant individual with a keen interest in Digital Sports Media and will have recently graduated from college or ideally have worked in a small company before.


The successful candidate is expected to have an understanding of social media channels, an interest in football and knowledge of digital marketing.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?

  • Content creation and management on Facebook (6 pages, 4.5million followers), Twitter (5 accounts, 132,000 followers) 
  • Development of other social media channels (Snapchat, Instagram, etc) 
  • Responding to relevant conversations with followers 
  • Ensuring input/feedback gets channelled internally 
  • Monitoring and responding to trends on social platforms 
  • Moderating and influencing key topics on Goal Social platforms 
  • Development of brand awareness 
DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?
  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate 
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing/ Design 
  • Working knowledge and experience of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media 
  • Working knowledge of social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, IFTTT, etc. 
  • Computer skills (intermediate-advanced) 
  • Digital marketing (website and social media) 
  • SEO 
  • Google analytics 
  • Relationship management 
  • Understanding of changing technology and multimedia design tools including Photoshop and Illustrator, Adobe Pro tools
