We have a position for Intern Treasury and Tax Administrator at T-Systems 2018.

Your task Main purpose of the job: To provide back office support to the Line Manager Treasury and Tax and act within the instructions provided.

Key areas of responsibility: 
  • Treasury: Cash Flow management
  • Compiling the daily cash position report for review by the manager;
  • Analysing the actual inflows and outflows against forecast;
  • Compiling the cash flow forecast on a monthly basis for review by the manager;
  • Obtaining inputs from business for the cash flow forecast;
  • Reconciling of all bank accounts in the group for review by the manager;
  • Treasury: Pay Master General (PMG)
  • Initiating the capturing of employee reimbursement claims on the banking system for approval by management;
  • Initiating the capturing of employee advances on the banking system for approval by management;
  • Processing journal entries into the financial reporting system for approval by the manager;
  • Transferring of funds between bank accounts upon instruction by the manager;
  • Performing certain ad-hoc tasks on requestTreasury: Investment management
  • Analysing investments on a monthly basis using specified template for review by the manager;
  • Raising journal entries into the reporting system for approval by the manager;
  • Performing any other ad-hoc tasks upon request;
Tax ResponsibilitiesVAT:
  • Assisting with the compliance testing and the compilation of working paper files to support calculations
  • Assisting with compiling of the working papers to support the VAT calculation;
  • Assisting with the gathering of information to clear SARS queries;
  • Process VAT correcting and reversing entries for approval by the manager;
  • Assisting with specific ad-hoc tasks upon request from the manager
Income Tax
  • Assisting with the monthly tax calculations;
  • Assisting with the compilation of tax returns;
  • Assist with gathering information to clear SARS queries;
  • Assist with gathering information for performing the IT14SD
  • Assisting with specific ad-hoc tasks upon request from the manager
Your Profile Criteria for selection:
  • Applicants must be South African citizens;
  • Have completed a BCOM/COMPT Finance qualification or equivalent and be able to demonstrate good academic record and achievements ;
  • Application forms must be completed in full and copies of academic records must be included;
  • Not have previously participated in an internship or graduate programme;
  • Have no work experience in the field of study;
  • A recent graduate (2014-2018);
  • Considered a youth (18-27 years);
  • Verified qualification certificate and no criminal record;
  • Effective communication in English (written and verbal);
  • Computer literacy (MS Office – basic Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
  • Prepared to undergo psychometric assessments.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes required:
  • SAP knowledge (an advantage)
  • Knowledge of IFRS – basic
  • Knowledge of Income Tax Act and VAT Act – intermediate
  • Knowledge of cash flow management techniques – intermediate
  • Knowledge of forecasting and variance analysis – intermediate
