Photographic Intern at New Media 2018

New Media is looking for a photographic assistant intern. We’re looking for a dedicated person with creative vision.



Key responsibilities:
  • Assist Photographers and Videographers on day-to-day shoots with whatever might be necessary.
  • Checking that studio is ready for every shoot day (this includes moving equipment/tables/chairs/polyboards etc). 
  • Checking and maintaining photographic inventory.
  • Liaising with external service providers regarding the upkeep of the studio, general maintenance and kitchen equipment.
  • Checking and maintaining shoot surfaces, backdrops (this incl WW surfaces) and arranging for it to be collected/delivered where necessary.
  • Ensuring that all necessary equipment is at hand on shoot days – for example, tape, plugs, extra cables, and so on.
Requirements:
  • Studying towards a qualification in media, communications or journalism.
  • Sharp, bright and keen.
  • Resourceful and shows initiative.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Able to work well in a team, and to function independently.
  • Flexible.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Deadline-driven and detail-orientated, and committed to achieving the best.
  • Comfortable about receiving feedback and acting on sometimes multiple reverts.
  • Able to work on a number of projects at once.
  • A can-do person with a problem-solving attitude who’s cheerful and fun to work with.
