St Peter Internship Opportunity 2018

A rare opportunity exists for Foundation Phase student teachers, to join the internship programme of this Anglican School.

  • The programme seeks to contribute to nation-building and improving education, in South Africa, by:
  • Producing effective Intermediate, Senior and Foundation Phase teachers;
  • Seeking to imbue its graduates with collaborative, accountable, committed and professional attitudes, as well as a growth mindset;
  • Instilling in graduates the desire to live Christian values;
  • Ensuring that graduates are competent in the application of the latest research-proven methodology;
  • Ensuring that graduates have the maturity to deal with the emotional demands of teaching.
  • In order to further uplift the community, only black (includes Coloured, Indian and Asian), previously disadvantaged applicants, who meet the criteria and are from low-income families, will be considered.
Requirements:
  • Matric, with Bachelors degree endorsement
  • Matric, English mark – 55% minimum
  • English, as first additional language – 55%
  • Maths Literacy – 50% minimum
  • Maths – 50%
  • Indigenous language
  • Proficiency in English (essential)
  • South African Citizenship
