Pick n Pay has an exciting position for a Graduate Trainee Store Manager – Cape Town.

Managing a store requires a solid mix of management, commercial and leadership skills combined with a drive to deliver the best for your customers.

With our Graduate Trainee Store Manager Program you will obtain an in- depth
understanding of all aspects of store operations and will develop a broad range of skills in a short period of time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Commercial Degree or Retail National Diploma
• Drivers license

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure that the store delivers customer service that exceeds customer expectations
• Lead a large team of managers and employees in delivering business results across all departments in the store.
• Monitor turnover and expense budgets and implement corrective action where required.
• Communicate effectively with employees, management,  customers and suppliers
• Ensure stock levels are maintained and out of stocks are minimised
• Implement and maintain the disciplines of display and merchandising standards as per planogrammes.
• Drive sales though aggressive product displays and by focusing on all advertised lines
• Draw and analyse data from information systems to develop action plans to improve store performance.
• Implement and maintain compliance requirements for applicable legislation such as OHS, Food Safety , Basic
Conditions of Employment etc.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• This role requires flexibility to work weekends, shifts and sometimes
long hours as required by the operation and willingness to be transferred between stores.
