SABN Graduate Opportunity 2017

The South African Bank Note Company (SABN), a fully owned subsidiary of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) invites applications for their 2018 Graduate Trainee Training Programme.



The South African Bank Note Company (SABN) is a highly competitive Security Printing Company which competes on a global scale, using the latest high-tech modern technology and machinery with printing capabilities of the very highest international standards.

We are currently looking for one (1) high performing graduate to join our exciting company for 2018 Graduate Trainee Training Programme, which will ensure a smooth transition from the university life to a highly professional working environment.

The programme will allow the graduate to convert theoretically acquired knowledge into activities related to professional practices, where they will be mentored and groomed by industry experts in order to become future industry leaders.

The programme exposes graduates to global best practices in the world of Security Printing industry.

The duration of the programme will be 24 months. The programme consists of formal, theoretical and on-the-job training.

The graduates will be required to complete various tasks and /or assignments, and will be evaluated by a panel on a six (6) month basis, to ensure adequate learning progress.

The candidate should preferably be willing to relocate or already staying in the Pretoria area and arrange their own accommodation and transport. The company will provide the graduate with a market related monthly allowance.

Qualifications:
  • BSc Mechatronics Engineering or
  • B.Eng. Mechatronics
Requirements:
  • Must have obtained an average aggregate of 60% and above
  • Have completed their degree with no modules or exams outstanding
Knowledge and Skills
  • MS Office Suite packages
  • Conscientious and self-disciplined
  • Initiative
  • Result oriented
  • Willing to learn
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team

XA International Trade Advisors Graduate Opportunity 2017

XA International Trade Advisors is seeking two bright, talented, passionate individuals for its internship programme. The interns will be based at the XA offices in Centurion.



The internship will run for an initial 3 months period but maybe extended depending on performance and operational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in preparing anti-dumping, safeguard, countervailing and other tariff related
petitions on behalf of clients
• Liaising with relevant government institutions on behalf of clients
• Attending and reporting on assigned meetings
• Writing professional blogs and media articles
• Research
• Assisting with ad hoc trade related assignments
• Providing general administrative support, such as scanning, photocopying, editing, data entry, and filing

Education & Qualifications:

• Relevant degree e.g. B Com, Masters in, International Trade, Economics or any other relevant qualification with a bias towards international trade.

Skills and knowledge required performing optimally in role:
• A good understanding of World Trade Organization agreements e.g. anti-dumping,
safeguards, countervailing agreements etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of South African and other African countries trade agreements
• Knowledge and understanding of the current South African economic policies
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word; MS Power Point
• A good understanding of accounting a must
