Job description

The digital marketing intern will be responsible for daily monitoring and reporting of digital advertising campaigns.
You will train predominantly in Ad Operations, including Search, Social and Programmatic as well an element of Strategy and Content Production. You will work closely with our Analysts and Campaign Managers to understand, recommend and execute the best media strategy across multiple digital platforms. You will monitor and interpret campaign performance against objectives.

Requirements

Video Creator Internship at Hey Creative 2017

We create videos for social media. Social first agency. Original content only. Pioneering unique content that works.

We’re new on the social media and digital front. But we must be doing something right because WE NEED YOU! Yup, we’re growing pretty fast and obviously, we’re trying to source (or sauce?! - we work with some really lekker food brands) a like-minded creative crew who are super keen to work with hot brands (and us - obvs). Hey Creative is looking for a funky video intern. 

Do you eat, breathe and live for amazing imagery and creating excellent video content? Carry on reading if you’re answer was YES.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting in developing content strategies & ideas.
  • Curating content on a weekly basis.
  • Hey Intern (we’ll only call you that until we know you’re name) should happily want to be sent out into the world (mostly up or down the road) to capture images & to shoot sharp & clever videos (editing required).
  • You should already know your way around social platforms (this is pretty important). 
  • Accompany the Creative Director to shoots (when required).

Role description: 
  • Developing copy and content, often in partnership with the, MD
  • Copy production includes editing, writing and proofing high-quality copy for diverse audiences and different channels- in particular, digital outputs
  • Produce compelling marketing communications content for campaigns across a variety of mediums including, trade ideas, email campaigns, social media, advertising and website content

Responsibility
  • Being part of a self-managed team (SMT) and delivering support to Bolunga and other clients as requested.
  • Entry level to intermediate proactive work within the client portfolio of their team.
  • Low-level reactive work within their client portfolio.
  • Assistance with projects at their clients that are project managed by the Senior or Project Manager.
  • Ensuring that all time is captured timeously, i.e. have all time from the current business day captured by the next business day.
  • Will be required to build and install workstations, assist with building servers from E-waste department
  • Installation of workstations.
  • Troubleshooting hardware problems on workstations.
  • Troubleshooting OS and MS Office as well as 3rd party software issues.
  • Must be able to setup peripherals such as printers, modems, scanners and troubleshoot problems with them.
  • Required to have good knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Required to have good knowledge of LAN infrastructure and understand what WAN is.
  • Must have basic knowledge of MS back office products and have a novice understanding of basic Active Directory administration (adding users etc).
  • Must have good general end user literacy in MS Office. Especially Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Must be able to install and troubleshoot 3rd party applications such as Antivirus.

ROLE PURPOSE


The purpose of the 1212-month internship program is to provide our MMI Holdings interns with an in-depth understanding of the field of Industrial Psychology/Organisational Development through the practical application of theoretical knowledge. 

The intern will be supervised by a registered Industrial Psychologist within MMI. The University of choice from the intern will act as the supervising university of the internship.

  • Completion of research thesis would be an advantage
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Practical exposure to the various functional sections will allow the intern the opportunity to acquire workable knowledge and a level of competence to the extent that the individual could eventually assume responsibilities in the OD world.

Assigned activities will be critically evaluated in terms of present Industrial and Organisational Psychology techniques, towards improving existing procedures and functions. 

While most of the programme will be guided by pre-determined activities, a period will be set aside for research purposes as well as other project work during the internship period. 



MMI would like to use the internship as an opportunity to upskill unemployed graduates to equip them for roles within the broader MMI environment.
