Job Purpose:
The maintenance and preparation of Factory financial records and information.

Key Performance Area

1. Maintains capital expenditure authorities
1.1 Maintains capital expenditure project control sheets and prepares monthly report on Capital Expenditure compared to budget and forecast.
2. Maintains Fixed Asset Register
2.1 Controls the Fixed Asset register for Cape Town Factory and Outsourced Manufacture by recording all Factory additions, disposals and transfers.
2.2 Calculates and journalise all depreciation monthly.
2.3 Reconciles FA Register to general ledger monthly.
2.4 Controls the annual physical FA count and identification by issuing departmental lists for checking, updates FA Register with completed returns, and prepares disposal forms for lost fixed assets.
3. Assists with preparation of annual Budgets
3.1 Captures Plan figures into JD Edwards Plan ledger.
3.2 Captures Commercial volume forecasts into BPCS.
4. Reconciliation of General Ledger Control accounts
4.1 Accounts as allocated.
5. Maintains Capital Expenditure reporting
5.1 Ensures maintenance of capital expenditure project control sheets and issues monthly report on Capital Expenditure compared to budget and forecast.
6. Controls and updates master records in JDE
6.1 Ensures all requirements are met in requesting the addition or change in vendor master records.
6.2 Updates Vendor Master records in JDE and BPCS.

Prepare monthly stock report
7.1 Calculates stock revaluation variance to be carried forward in stock.
7.2 Identifies movement on stock provisions.
7.3 Balances stock valuation reports to general ledger.
7.4 Balance plant spares report to the general ledger.
7.5 Update the stationery stock in line with stock counts on a quarterly basis.

8. General
8.1 Complies with QMS and EHS standards.
8.2 General requests from Finance manager

The Department of Transport is responsible for regulation of Transportation in South Africa, that is, public transport, rail transportation, civil aviation, shipping, freight and motor vehicles.



The Department of Transport is committed to youth skills development by providing graduates with opportunities to gain workplace experience to complement their studies. Applications are invited for the fifty three (50) internships positions to promising graduates between the ages of 18 and 35. The internship programme will run for a period of twelve (12) months.

The 49 positions are based in Pretoria and 20 internship positions will be placed in participating Municipalities across various provinces.

SAWS Internship Opportunity 2017

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) as the mandated national meteorological service has a vision of “A WeatherSMART Nation” - where citizens and institutions are able to use quality and reliable weather and climate related data provided by the organization to enhance the quality of their lives and build resilience to extreme weather events and mitigate climate change impacts.



The South African Weather Service invites graduates who are in possession of an honours degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Sciences with at least mathematics on the second-year university level and physical sciences on first-year university level to apply for a one-year training internship in forecasting at the head office of the South African Weather Service in Pretoria.

This course will start in February 2018.

The forecasting offices where forecasters possibly can be appointed at Pretoria, OR Tambo International Airport, Bloemfontein, Durban, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town.
