Aveng: Grinaker-LTA Internship Opportunity 2017

Aveng Trident Steel centrally situated in Roodekop, Germiston and other facilities in Alrode, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Rosslyn and Cape Town provide a wide product range to the steel industry in South Africa as well as internationally from their extensive steel yards, modern and comprehensive steel processing and steel service centers, specialty steel division and tube manufacturing plant.

The incumbent will be responsible for the administrative functionality and attends to the implementation of procedures, applications, systems, and controls to facilitate the supporting, updating, circulation and maintenance of information from/to the regions with regards to various activities in the IT Department.

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric (Grade 12)
• A Plus
• N Plus
• IT Diploma desirable

• Administration experience
• Computer Literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office

Duties & Responsibilities 
• Taking and logging of IT Service Desk calls
• Basic troubleshooting of IT related problems
• Basic IT telephonic troubleshooting and assistance to users
• Attending to assigned Service Desk related calls
• Providing feedback to the user community on status of logged calls
• Assisting the IT team with IT Support related issues
• Setting up of computers and laptops
• Assisting with Vodacom mobile administration
• Assisting with Office administration
• Assisting with network related issues in the factory environments
• Accompany and assist team members with site-related IT issues
• Other reasonable duties deemed necessary for the functioning of the IT Department
