Marketing Internship at Bolunga Systems

The journey of Bolunga Systems started in 2012 with a Digital Radio installation services team. Bolunga has since grown to an ICT Services company that provides Infrastructure Services, Consulting Services and Electronic Waste Management. Bolunga is a Broad-based Black Economic Company with offices in Gauteng and Eastern Cape.

Bolunga’s core focus is Telecommunications Infrastructure Solutions, Information Technology Consulting and People Solutions. We cover a broad spectrum of Radio Frequency (RF) related work.

The name Bolunga is a Nguni word meaning ‘Goodness will prevail’ and our promise is to deliver value to all clients and stakeholders by creating value and systems that will add goodness to their business.

We have a Marketing Internship position.

Role description: 
  • Developing copy and content, often in partnership with the, MD
  • Copy production includes editing, writing and proofing high-quality copy for diverse audiences and different channels- in particular, digital outputs
  • Produce compelling marketing communications content for campaigns across a variety of mediums including, trade ideas, email campaigns, social media, advertising and website content
  • The copy should be designed to nurture leads, sell products and tell the brand story
  • Edit and proofread marketing collateral as required
  • Occasionally writing long-form copy for press releases
  • Collecting quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns.
  • Performing market analysis and research on competition.
  • Supporting the MD with daily administrative tasks
  • Support the team with idea generation, the development of the communication calendar and the conceptualisation of marketing activities and campaigns
  • Social media management
  • Email Marketing
  • Writing blog post for Bolunga
  • Events management
  • Reporting the impact of your initiatives on a weekly basis to your supervisor
  • Monitoring trends in IT, Telecoms and E-waste
Skills and experience: 
  • Must have a minimum of a Diploma or Degree in either communications/marketing /media studies/public relations
  • Experience of writing campaign content for marketing communications
  • writing for different channels (social media, web, email)
  • Proven ability to research and write on various topics
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpretation skills
  • Creative Personality
  • Understanding of SEO concepts
  • Basic Knowledge of CMS systems (WordPress)
  • Drivers license is a prerequisite for this job
