TechnoServe Internship Opportunity 2018

The ultimate purpose of the Data Support intern is to support data management systems within projects in TechnoServe, implementing data quality assurance and control measures to enable the organization to accuracy for project monitoring, reporting and impact assessment across all our projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate data capturing across all projects in the organization
• Responsible for data cleaning and conducting follow ups on missing data
• Perform data quality checks on all data that are collected for reporting on TechnoServe projects
• Ensure that all data are managed according to TechnoServe’s standard operating procedures
• Ensure that all beneficiary databases are kept up to date to transmit data to relevant project staff when required
• Conduct quantitative and statistical analysis to support project performance reporting

Required Skills & Experience:

• Candidates must be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Advanced Certificate in social sciences, preferably development studies, economics, sociology, agrarian studies and livelihoods, evaluation or social research.
• Must have a minimum of two years’ working experience in data capturing, data management and/or analysis;
• Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Excel;
• Proficiency in written and verbal English communication;
• Good interpersonal skills, have the ability to take initiative and be a team player;
• Understanding of administrative procedures and functions;
• Must be able to start immediately
