Gauteng Gambling Board Internships Opportunities 2018

The Gauteng Gambling Board (GGB) is embarking on an internship programme. Candidates who are interested adn meet the minimum requirements s detailed below are invited to apply.

The succesful applicants will enter into a 12 months internship agreeement (not an employment contract) with GGB and receive a stipend.


The Gauteng Gambling Board is a statutory body established in terms of section 3 of the Gauteng Gambling Act, No 4 of 1995 as amended.

Prior to August 1996 betting on horse-racing and other sporting events was the only form of legal gambling in Gauteng.

During August 1996 the Gauteng Gambling Act 1995 (Act No 4 of 1995), was promulgated.  This Act legalised other forms of gambling in the Province and provided for the establishment of the Gauteng Gambling Board.

This is a learning opportunity for individuals who would like to gain experience in order to pursue a full-time career in their respective fields.

Supply Chain Management Internship
Bachelar’s degree / diploma in SCM / Purchasing / Procurement Management / Buying

Risk Performance and Information Internship
Business related degree diploma

Information Technology Internship
Grade 12 with IT Diploma or A+ (hardware and software) and N+

Finance Internship
BCom / BTech in Accounting / Finance
