Mechanical Engineering Graduate at AVI 2018

Our National Brands Limited business, centred on the FMCG market, focuses on the beverage, biscuit and snack brands.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The Mechanical Engineering graduate will be involved in various projects to gain in-depth knowledge of plant, processing and packing equipment. 
  • Working closely with the Engineering Specialists, you will be participating in identifying efficiency issues and suggesting functional solutions, be involved in line installations and line commissioning, and gain skills of the core concepts of mechanics, thermodynamics and food processing.
Applicants interested in the programme must have strong leadership abilities, an analytical and innovative mind-set; be a team player with a passion for achieving; and a self-starter who is open to all the unique learning opportunities we offer.

Experience Required 
  • Any vacation experience or part-time work is ideal.
  • Required A B.Sc or B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering essential with a minimum average of 60% in the final year of studies.
  • Able to work in Isando (Johannesburg East) or Rosslyn (Pretoria North).
  • Proficiency using MS Office (more specifically Excel).
