Content Discovery Internship at MultiChoice Group 2019

To assist the Content Discovery Manger and Content Discovery Specialist to support their customers with the collation and curation of content.

Key Performance Objectives

Operational Delivery
Data Inputting – as highlights are received from channels (Group and 3rd Party), these highlights need to be recorded within the Content Calendar and the Monthly Highlights Planning Document for reference by the Content Department and across the business. Attention to detail and efficiency is paramount in this task as these documents operate as the ‘single source of truth’ in the planning of upcoming highlights, across the business.
Daily QC of highlights – schedules are fluid and dynamic, affected by world events, trends and unavoidable adjustments. As the Content Calendar and Monthly Highlights Planning Documents operate a single source of truth across the business, they need to be QCed on a daily basis. This requirement will extend across the SA, IS20 Southern Africa, ROA and GOtv
Assets Download & Distribution – channels supply images, videos and press releases to aid in our content discovery efforts, these need to be logged, downloaded and distributed to the relevant parties. There is a system currently in place and a new one under development. The applicant will be required to assist within these and to assist with the migration from one to the other.
Newsletter Highlights – highlights relevant for weekly newsletters need to be transferred to the newsletter planning doc. Attention to detail is critical as the information used will end up customer-facing.
Channel Proposals - Maintain channel proposal status tracker. Assist the Content Discovery Specialist in charge of this portfolio to record all activities with regard to submissions and replies.
Content Review - Assist with the creation of slides for Content Review, including the addition of the packages across ROA and Gotv
AdHoc – any other support requirements identified by the Content Discovery Manager in the course of providing this service to the business
