Rand Mutual Assurance Internships / Graduates Programme 2019

Rand Mutual Assurance invites applicants to apply for Internships / Graduates Programme 2019 in Parktown Johannesburg. The duration of this internship programme is 12 months and is commencing 01 February 2019.



Rand Mutual assurance aims to provide opportunities for qualifying candidates to gain skills, knowledge and experience, whilst at the same time, positioning the successful incumbents for active and meaningful participation in the labour market.

Position: Membership Internship
Applications are invited from unemployed South African citizens, who have completed the following:
  • Matric - Grade 12 (NQF Level 5) with full FAIS qualification and or RE5 
  • Computer Literacy 
  • MS Office proficiency – Intermediate 
The successful applicant will be exposed to, but not limited to:
  • Processing policy details into the correct scheme on administration system 
  • Issuing of policy details according to the chosen communication form chosen by client 
  • Updating and maintaining policy records 
  • Communicating and confirming policy amendments timeously to clients 
  • Handle general policy to enquiries to clients 
  • Identify and escalate priority issues 
  • Document all information according to the standard 
  • operating procedures 
  • Quality assurance of policy data 
  • Collating scheme details for annual reviews 
  • Sending out annual review letters 
  • Written communication with customer


Position: Claims Management Internship
Applications are invited from unemployed South African citizens, who have completed an NQF Level 5 qualification in any of the fields of study listed below:
  • Higher certificate/ Diploma in Occupational Health 
  • Higher Certificate / Diploma in Healthcare, Insurance 
  • Claims or Case Management 
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy 
  • Bachelor of Medical Practice 
  • Bachelor of Nursing

Position: Medical Benefits Internship
Applications are invited from unemployed South African citizens, who have completed an NQF Level 5 qualification in any of the fields of study listed below:

  • A relevant Clinical Associate NQF6/7/8 
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing 
  • Relevant diploma or Degree in Applied Health or related field 
  • RE5 certification is advantageous


Position: Finance Internship

Learners will gain work experience as well as an NQF4 qualification in Long Term Insurance while on the Internship
