Tiso Blackstar Internship Programme 2019

Produce finished creatives and artwork for production and/or placement by ensuring that all creative material is provided in correct format for publication including file preparation and output, prepress, and printing.  Ensure that all creative material is provided in correct format for publication within given timeframes and budgets



Main responsibilities 

Picture Editing
Collecting and sourcing images across all titles
Getting images ready for re-pro process
Retouching, extending and resizing images
Assisting with mood-boards across all titles
Designing layouts
Creating email signatures, mailers and business cards
Responsible for Mailer Videos for sales team
No main body supplement layout work. Layout work to be done on marketing/advertising content
Must assist digital and ad sales teams with requests

Requirements

Matric (Grade 12)
Diploma or Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design and or relevant experience
Strong working knowledge of graphics and design fundamentals
Computer literate: Technical knowledge of related programs and computer software
Experience with design software

Skills

Familiarity with design techniques (e.g. prototyping)
Understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts)
Presenting and Communicating Information
Creating and Innovating
Planning and Organising
Time management and multitasking abilities
Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude
