Grundfos Agriculture Graduate Programme 2019

Grundfos,  a global leader in advanced pump solutions and a trendsetter in water technology, has a an Agriculture graduate position at their Germiston offices.



Purpose of the position is to assist the Grundfos Agriculture segment with driving sales growth in daily and project- based business while providing technical advice to sales team to develop, sell and successfully implement product or service solutions that will meet the customer’s needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop / Maintain customer database and implement a calling procedure to Irrigation & Agriculture Designers, Engineers, and Irrigation Project Managers, etc. at different business levels
  • Develop CRM Pipeline Opportunities and the management of quotations
  • Specify and inform customer base of relevant agricultural products
  • Be involved in pump station or application design. Basic and Advanced Hydraulics
  • Manage projects and project portfolios when required, driven by Order fulfillment
  • Provide technical & commercial advice to engineers and end-users
  • Collect and understand information from customers to understand their business and technical needs
  • Respond to customer questions and troubleshoot, investigate and resolve technical problems that arise during or after implementation.
  • Train customers on the features of the product/s they have purchased
  • Conduct presentations to engineers at customer sites. Strong focus on Grundfos Product Centre Training to all Irrigation Designers & Engineers
  • Be involved in Factory Acceptance Testing of product/s customers have purchased
  • Be part of planning annual Irrigation Designers Day Event
  • Respond to questions regarding the company’s products and services to meet customers’ needs
  • Have product knowledge on NK End-Suction and SP Submersible Pumps. Application Design. 
Critical Knowledge and Experience: 
  • Highly technical competence level within defined areas. Irrigation.
  • Basic CRM knowledge within the related work area
  • Manage RFQ’s related to projects and requests from customers
  • Relevant qualification is required
  • Basic & Advanced Hydraulics
  • The ability to work in a demanding and ever-changing environment where meeting deadlines are a key task
  • At least 0-2 years’ experience in pumping applications, focused on the Agricultural market. (Not required for students)
  • Proven track record in working autonomously.
  • Pump technical knowledge
  • Customer interaction from a sales and service perspective
  • Knowledge and experience in the Western Cape Local Irrigation markets


Qualifications
  • BSc Agriculture degree or Equivalent National Diploma
