Grundfos Industrial/Process Engineering Graduate Programme 2019

Grundfos,  a global leader in advanced pump solutions and a trendsetter in water technology, has a graduate position for Industrial/Process Engineering at their Germiston offices.

The Purpose of the position is to support Order Handling with their planning and purchase requirements, execute global best practices within the planning of business processes, ensure compliance to the implementation of best practice methods and tools, measurements and the reporting of results and support the overall operation of the company.

  • Identify materials which misalign between supply and demand. Misalliances must be corrected to match demands or required stock levels with supply.
  • Track and monitor consumption based planned materials with negative stock within lead time.
  • Ensure stock accuracy by removing stock errors.
  • Identify delayed purchases and production orders and allocate to new and realistic delivery date. Communicate between production and planning and any delays or improvements with Order Handling.
  • Track current capacity load and availability of capacity load of relevant products produced.
  • Convert related purchase requisitions and forward purchase orders to suppliers. Ensure order acknowledgements are processed and open purchase orders are monitored to meet the required date in the production plan. Send weekly open order requests to key suppliers and follow up on overdue deliveries.
  • Check reconfirmed orders daily and ensure the maximum of three (3) reconfirmations are sent to the customer.
  • Extend Part Numbers and Bill of Materials into the relevant plants
  • Maintain Bill of Materials for standard and nonstandard assembly items
  • Maintain routings
  • Maintain and keep record of engineering changes and manage phase out and phase in of components
  • Liaison with production team on daily production orders, changes and execution thereof
  • Be responsible of handling requests from Order Handling and be accountable for actions.
  • Participate in strategic and operational projects.
  • Participate in audits/assessments and task force assignments
  • Own, maintain and execute Master data.
  • Participate and contribute to network meetings and workshops 

Critical Knowledge and Experience
  • Dedicated and prominent level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently on routine and non-routine tasks
  • It will be an advantage if you have SAP P20 experience, production planning experience and/or master data management experience
  • Preference will be given to Industrial or Process Engineers
  • Industrial/ Process Engineer degree
