MSF HR Coordinator Internship Programme 2019

This position is designed to support the Field HR unit to coordinate functions and activities of Friends of MSF in various universities in South Africa that is aimed at increasing awareness of MSF amongst the medical students.


Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an international independent medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and manmade disasters and exclusion from health care in more than 70 countries around the world.

Guided by the Friends of MSF policy and Recruitment Officer. The duties include:

1. Develop a working plan together with respective friends of MSF focal points.

2. Select the most appropriate events that MSF will be involved.

3. Work with the focal points to increase the number of Friends of MSF.

4. Expand the Friends of MSF ideology to other universities with medical students.

5. Develop social media tools that will link Friends of MSF countrywide.

6. Link MSF SA office with the Friends of MSF network.

7. Havoc Admin work in the FHR department


Objective:

• Raise awareness of humanitarian issues and MSF’s work in the field.

• Encourage students to work with non-governmental organisations specifically MSF at some point in their career

Requirements:

• Must have a University Degree

• Must have good interpersonal skills and creativity

• Excellent communication skills

• Must be a good team player

Remuneration and resources

• Resources needed such as working space, computer, internet, stationery, and other resources will be made available

• A monthly stipend will be offered
