Airbnb Africa Academy Fellow 2019

Airbnb is building out The Airbnb Africa Academy, a programme focused on giving emerging tourism entrepreneurs in underserved communities across Africa the tools and resources to succeed on the Airbnb platform. We are looking for a self-starter with strong writing and analytical skills to join our team as a fellow. The Fellow will help document programme learnings and support the build out of specific Academy initiatives.



Documentation:
  • Document best practices, programme design, host journeys
  • Build decks to communicate Academy progress
  • Develop participant and partner surveys
  • Gather insights from qualitative and quantitative data to measure the impact of AAA pilots
  • Curriculum development and training:
  • Help format and design training decks
  • Assist with training support where needed including online and in person training for partner organisations and participants
  • Assisting with online support for Academy community
  • Logistical support for Academy
  • Assist in the logistics of Academy pilots. This includes, but not limited to, securing of accommodation, transport, training activities, catering and training materials
Requirements
  • Must be in full time third level education (i.e. university/ college) at the time of applying for an internship OR have finished such studies in the last 12 months
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Self starter with a sense of humour and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
