Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Internship Opportunity 2019

We are searching for an individual to supports the Assessment and Development Manager with implementing the assessment and development strategy within the Foundation. In addition to participate in Human Resources initiatives that are planned for the financial year. This is an opportunity for the individual to gain experience through learning.


As part of fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among the country’s youth in order to reduce the high levels of unemployment; the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation (the Foundation) seeks to foster a community of responsible, high impact entrepreneurs in order to achieve an equitable South Africa flourishing with meaningful employment.

Objectives of Role
• Accountable for the administration, scoring and interpretation of all psychometric assessments used within the Foundation.
• The role supports the Assessment and Development Manager with implementing the Assessment and Development strategy within the Foundation.
• Facilitating training and development programmes of assessment tools and practices.
• Support HR with strategic initiatives (Org Design, Team Building, Conflict Management)
• Perform recruitment and selection function throughout and assist with performance management

Experience and Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Psychology / Industrial Psychology (Essential)
• Honour’s Degree in Psychology / Industrial Psychology/ Completion of the B Psych Equivalence Programme (Required)
• Registration as Intern Industrial Psychologist/Psychometrist with HPCSA (Required)
• No work experience required
