Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Public Affairs and Communications Intern 2019

We are searching for the Public Affairs and Communications Intern to assist with interpreting the brand essence and communications needs of the organisation in order to convey targeted stakeholder messages on various communications platforms.


As part of fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among the country’s youth in order to reduce the high levels of unemployment; the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation (the Foundation) seeks to foster a community of responsible, high impact entrepreneurs in order to achieve an equitable South Africa flourishing with meaningful employment.

Objectives of Role
Work on a variety of design activities aimed at giving the organisation a visual brand.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A National Diploma/Degree in Graphic Art/Design or any related creative field.
  • Formal training/certification in the use of Adobe’s Creative suite of programs or similar.
  • Other software tools such Dreamweaver, HTML, CorelDraw or AutoCAD.

  • Interactive media (bonus)

Other Information

  • Be creative, adaptable to trends and conceptualise original ideas.
  • Have a strong, well-rounded portfolio that showcases your individual design aesthetic.
  • Good communication skills to accurately convey concepts to organisational teams.
  • Be a skilled user of design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
