21 X Rand Water Graduate Development Programme 2019

Rand Water invites applicants to apply for a Graduate Development Programme. As a graduate you will be exposed to the workplace and be provided with an opportunity to develop technical and professional competencies.


About

On 8 May 1903 The Rand Water Board was officially established by the Rand Water Board Incorporation Ordinance No. 32 of May 1903 to supply water to the entire area.

The Rand Water Board was to include members of the Johannesburg Town Council, The Chamber of Mines, and other existing local authorities in the Witwatersrand.

In 1904 Rand Water was required to take over the undertakings of the companies at that time supplying or potentially capable of supplying water to the Witwatersrand.

Rand Water was to supply water in bulk only.

  • National Diploma/ BCom/ BTech Total Quality Management/ Operations Management x 2

  • National Diploma in Watercare x 1
  • B.Degree Social Science/ Social Work/ Psychology x 1
  • Bsc/B.Eng Civil Engineering x 1
  • Bsc/ B-Tech Electrical x 1
  • National Diploma Mechanical Engineering x 1
  • National Diploma Metallurgy Engineering x 1
  • B.Architecture x 1
  • BTech/BSc/B.Eng Metallurgy Engineering x 1
  • BTech/National Diploma Engineering Surveying x 1
  • National Diploma/ B.Degree Nursing (Registered Nurse) x 1
  • Honours /Masters Degree Natural Science / Information Systems ( Data Analytics) x 1

Requirements:

  • South African citizens.
  • Previously disadvantaged individuals (ACI).
  • Applicants must have Matric and a suitable qualification within one of the aforementioned fields of study.
  • Applicants must be under the age of 35 (In line with NSDS III)

Knowledge

  • Rand Water Mandate and its contribution to the water sector

Skills

  • Communication skills (verbal and written)

Attitude

  • Self-motivated and results – driven
