Airlink Cargo Commercial Internship Opportunity 2019

Airlink Cargo seeks to employ a Commercial Intern to join them at their Kempton Park offices. The E-commerce Intern will work cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing and Customer Care Department. Assist with product development to facilitate the relaunch of Airlink Cargo Website and Portal with the goal of improving the overall digital customer experience. Improve search engine optimization of Airlink Cargo relaunched website and create brand awareness for Airlink Cargo.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • The minimum education requirement is a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s licence.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant web platforms and content management
  • systems and methodologies, inclusive of payment gateway processes.
  • A bachelor’s degree (B-Com in Marketing / IT is preferred)
  • Well-spoken and able to communicate clearly (in English)
  • Provide general administrative support.
  • Good data interpretation and organizational skills
  • Must be confident, able to work under pressure and be self-motivated.
  • Must have reliable transport.
  • Unrestricted travel mobility in the event that travel is required.
Accountabilities
  • Ensure the consistent application of corporate branding in all published
  • documents and other media.
  • Contribute to Airlink Cargo visibility in community events, preparing support
  • materials and assisting in the events as needed.
  • Assist with special projects in sales and marketing as required.
  • The employee shall be accountable for ensuring operations are conducted
  • in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of the Operator and
  • within the confines of the AOC and relevant operational specifications.
  • Responsible for OHS in their area of responsibility and accountability
  • reporting into this role.
  • Accountable for the management of safety risks and security threats to interalia
  • aircraft operations
Responsibilities
  • Customer Relation
  • Assist with vetting all Airlink Cargo related articles for Skyways, FTW, or any other advertising medium prior to print.
  • Detail oriented, punctual and eager
  • Ongoing monitoring of site content (grammar/spelling) and proper functionality
  • Uploads, reviews, and validates all product pages before going live on site with high level of accuracy - ensures navigation, search, and other website functionalities are running as according to e-commerce strategy.
  • Monitor website to ensure that all product content is accurately displayed
  • and consistent (image, copy, title, price, colour, etc.)
  • May be required to perform ad-hoc duties.
  • Co-ordinating Airlink Cargo marketing activities/events i.e. golf days
  • Compilation of marketing material and determining mediums of advertising
  • Ensure invoices and prices are correct before submitting to Marketing Manager.
  • Ensure all marketing promotional material is received timeously and conforms to established CI guidelines and the distribution thereof.
  • Maintains contact with Advertising Agency in order to assist with marketing collateral products/services.
  • Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company standards as laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
