Rhino Africa Internship Opportunity 2020

Rhino Africa is on the lookout for a full-time Digital Design Intern to join our team. During your internship, you will get hands-on experience, learning from talented mentors, have premium access to advanced creative & editing software, and will take part in activities that will utilise all your creative channels. You will work at the intersection of marketing and social media, assisting with the creation of designs for our various brands.

The requirements for our marketing team are diverse and change on a daily basis: you will liaise daily with our Head of Design to define priorities and timelines, while also interacting and collaborating with a multi-skilled team for all of your creative needs.

As a Digital Design Intern, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Designing marketing collateral such as newsletters and banners;
  • Assisting, conceptualising and executing internal campaigns;
  • Collaborating with other team members including copywriters, videographers, photographers, web developers and other designers to understand project needs;
  • Optimising visual content for the web;
  • Generating concepts for marketing-related campaigns.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • A relevant diploma (preferable creative);
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite packages including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop;
  • A natural sense for aesthetics and a strong passion for design;
  • A methodical and precise approach to work and an ability to work around tight deadlines;
  • An openness to feedback from colleagues, complemented by high levels of self-motivation;
  • An interest in the latest tech and design trends;

Advantageous, but not required, would be:

  • Knowledge of After Effects, Sketch;
  • Knowledge of with UI/UX design;
