Description: AECOM is seeking to appoint a Project Surveyor Graduate  who will carry out the normal duties and functions which occur within a professional Quantity Surveying office.

Minimum Requirements
  • National Diploma Building Or BTech. Quantity Surveying Or BSC Property Development / Honours (QS).
  • Willing and eager to learn.
  • Professional work etiquette at all times
Accountable for a variety of complex tasks covering:
  • Show interest towards or have experience in the MEP side of Quantity surveying .
  • Mechanical: HVAC Systems, Fire Protection , Fire Detection.
  • Electrical: Lighting, Small Power , MV and LV Installations , Containment.
  • Plumbing & Piping and the like.
These duties and functions include, inter alia:
  •  Preparing estimates of construction costs.
  • Measurement of building quantities for bill preparation and final accounts.
  • Drafting Bills of Quantities.
  • Site visits and site measurement.
  • Presenting the practice at meetings.
  • Carrying out overall cost control of projects.
  • Preparing valuations for issue of interim payment certificates.
  • Preparing and concluding final accounts.
  • Complying with basic office rules and procedures.
  • Complying with the requirements of the ‘Continuing Professional Development System’ as administered by the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors.
  • Attending all in-house seminars and workshops.
  • Developing computer literacy and skills.
  • Working in conjunction with other staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with the firm’s quality management systems, including establishing a full knowledge of the quality and practice manuals.
