60 X CoJ EMS Internship Programmes 2021

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

Salarv Range: R8 329.29 pm (cost to company, basic salary, no benefits)  

Description: City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality, CoJ invites unemployed graduates to apply for 60 x Emergency Management Services Internship Programme 2021.

Eligibility: 
  • Ages between 18 – 35 years.
  • Only City of Joburg residents will be considered.
  • Basic Computer literacy(Word, Excel).
  • Must be able to work extended hours as and when required.
The following Internship opportunities are available for a period NOT exceeding eighteen (18) months.

An Application letter and comprehensive CV, proof of residence, certified copy of ID and Qualifications will be required.

1. Pro Active Services (Inspector) x 1

Requirements:
  • Grade 12/N3;
  • Higher Certificate in Fire Technology (SAESI) or Level 3 Certificate I.F.E or NQF Level 5 (T1) completed towards National Diploma in Fire Technology.

2. Pro Active Services (PIER) x 15

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Fire Technology, Degree/Diploma in Public Education or Public Management & Governance; Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent NQF level 6.

3. Project Management x 2

Requirements:

  • Higher Certificate in Project Management NQF 5 or Diploma in Project management NQF 6.
  • Ability to operate Geographic Information Systems (GIS} technology and systems.

4. IT & Admin Support (Specialist) x 1

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Sciences.

5. IT & Admin (Systems Admin) x 3

Requirements:
  • Certificate/Diploma in IT/Electronics/Telecommunication.

6.  IT & Admin (Office Assistant)) x 1

Requirements:
  • NQF level 2/3.

7.  Strategic Support & Communication x 2

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Communication/Journalism/Media/Public Relations NQF 6 or Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Communication Science would be an added advantage.

8.  Finance (Snr Bookkeeper} x 1

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Accounting/Financial Management or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license Code EB.

9.  Finance (Supply Chain Management) x 1

Requirements:
  • National Diploma in Purchasing Management, Public Admin and/or Admin related qualifications.

10 .  Strategic Support (Business Planning & Reporting) x 4

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Business Administration / Public Administration NQF 5 or Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/ Public Administration NQF 7.
  • Advanced Computer literacy with all MS Packages.
  • Research skills and knowledge of any statistical analysis software.

11.  Strategic Support (Employee Wellness) x 4

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Social Science.
  • Registered with South African Council for Social Services Profession (SACSSP) and Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA).
  • Advanced Computer literacy with all MS Packages.

12. Human Resources x 15

Requirements:

  • Higher Certificate in Humanities or Diploma in Humanities or other related relevant field.

13. Corporate Services (Discipline Management) x 2

Requirements:

  • Matric, 3 year qualification at NQF level 6 in Labor Relations/Labour Law/Human Resources and Labor Relations.

14.  Corporate Services ( Accident Investigations) x 2

Requirements:
  • Matric, 3 year qualification in Forensic Investigation, Policing, LLB or Labour Relations.

15.  Corporate Services (Archives & Registry) x 2

Requirements:
  • Matric, Higher Certificate in Archives and Records Management, or Higher Certificate in Information Management.

16. Strategic Support (Occupational Health & Safety} x 2

Requirements:
  • Matric, Higher Certificate in Archives and Records Management, or Higher Certificate in Information Management.
  • Diploma in Safety Management.
