8 X Wärtsilä Field Service Graduate Trainees Opportunity 2021

Description: Wärtsilä Southern Africa (Pty) Limited is looking for Field Services Graduate Trainees to join our Field Service team for 1 year contract. 

In our South East Africa region, Field Services activities are typically performed for customers under contractual agreement at their sites or specific workshop or yards. 

You will be based in Cape Town – South Africa, where you will have hands-on experience and assigned for dedicated training on the Field service activities as well as on Contract Management activities at various sites in our South and East Africa Region. 

To be successful in this role you will be responsible for the following: 

  • Performs immediate local support activities and/ or do research related to studies under the supervision of a Wärtsilä employee.
  • Typically acts as trainee or final thesis/study worker.
  • Delivery according to specific standards and guidelines.
  • Performs a variety of defined activities as assigned from time to time
  • Ensures the completeness and quality of the defined routines in its own daily work.
  • Adhere to all Safety, Environment, and Health regulations and compliance to Wärtsilä Standards.
  • Work along with Senior Field Services Engineer on different sites in our region.

Desired Educations and Requirement

  • Recent graduate with BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Good academic track records in your field of study.
  • Open-minded, have a strong desire and the flexibility to work internationally
  • Able to think and act in difficult assigned duties and come out with solutions.
  • Strong can-do spirit and a high sense of responsibility
  • Inspiring team player with outstanding communication skills.
  • No experience is required for this role.
