Innervation Test Analyst Internship Opportunity 2020

Description: Successful applicant will be enrolled in Innervation Test Analyst Internship Opportunity and will have to comply with all rule’s regulations for Internship programme.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Estimate effort (i.e. time frame and work required) for testing tasks.
  • Define the test strategy for each iteration or new project.
  • Extract test requirements for each business requirement supplied in the BRS/FRS.
  • Design and create test cases.
  • Execute test cases manually/automatically.
  • Establish continuous improvement initiatives specifically with regards to testing quality.
  • Project risk mitigation thereby ensuring a smooth deployment process.
  • Organize and facilitate reviews, inspections, and walkthroughs of test plans.
  • Identify, log and verify defects in a defect tracking system (Test Rail).
  • Ensure consistency with group methodology and maintain Test documentation (and proof of testing) through up-to-date projects deliverables.
  • Ensure the delivery of all required testing collateral (Test strategy, plan, cases, scripts, data, sign off, etc.) for the projects.
  • Ensure that the software implemented meets the functional requirements defined by the business/client and is of high quality
  • Manual front-end functional testing of applications - which includes system, integration,  regression and end to end testing and exploratory testing.
  • Establish best practices for testing in an agile environment.
  • Product risk mitigation thereby limiting defects in production.
  • Sign-off on new releases.
  • Support stakeholders of all projects impacting your domain of expertise in a constructive way.
  • Highlight issues and unclear areas in reviewed documents and proposing alternatives.
  • Provide first line support and root cause analysis of production issues.
  • Manage and maintain the test environments and test data.
  • Root cause analysis.
  • Manage and maintain the regression test suits (manual / automated).

    Key skills and experience:
    • Matric (NQF level 4)
    • Windows and Linux
    • IT Tertiary qualification
    • Basic Networking Knowledge
    • ISTQB or SASTQB Certified Tester – Foundation level
    • IT industry exposure
    • Payments industry exposure
    • Software test tools exposure

      The Package
      • A market related Total Cost to Company salary.
      • Twelve-week internship, followed by a one-year limited duration contract pending
      • successful completion of internship.

      Additional Requirements
      • This position will be based at our JHB Offices own transport would be beneficial.
