Description: The African Association for Public Administration and Management, AAPAM is looking to hire a Programme Intern 2021.
The Programme intern will assist in the formulation of planning in line with organization vision and mandate.
The intern should have a genuine interested in learning all aspects of public administration and expect to learn the field from top to bottom.
It is essential that applicants to this position have strong communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details and support the progamme department in day-to-day administrative tasks and activities.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation of concept notes, project proposals, weekly reports, background papers, briefing notes, talking points and other relevant documents;
- Provide support in the coordination and substantive servicing of meetings, including coordinating participation of key stakeholders, contributing to the preparation of relevant documents and undertaking other related tasks;
- Support the preparation of presentations and other visual materials;
- Assist in the development of databases and other office management tools;
- Support the production of web stories and updating of social media;
- Undertake other assignments as required.
Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree in Public Administration/ Public policy/ Political Science/
- International Relations from a recognized institution
- Experience working in a fast-paced organization.
- Project Management skills
- Strong writing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ready to learn and work in a demanding environment, collaborating with African
- governments and international organizations
- Fluency in English – both written and oral communication; Good communication and interpersonal skills. French language is desirable
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Fast learner, self-driven, open to new ideas and hardworking.
- Team working skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to take directions and multi-task
Remuneration: The project will pay a monthly stipend.
