BroadReach Marketing & Communications Intern 2021

Location: Cape Town

Description: The BroadReach Marketing & Communications Intern will support the Marketing & Communications department. 

This is a diverse role, that will work across geographies and marketing disciplines for a high growth organisation. The intern will be responsible for, and gain exposure to, both internal and external communications.

Key Accountabilities (included but not limited to)

Social Media:

  • Creating and uploading content
  • Community Management
  • Administration around ad buying and promotions
  • Assisting the Social Media & Communications Specialist in the marketing efforts across our external platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook & Twitter)


  • Answering inbound emails for the shared marketing inbox
  • Proof reading of external communications
  • Drafting internal organisational communications

Digital Marketing:

  • Research and administration for any digital marketing campaigns
  • Providing support for digital events (Zoom & MS Teams)
  • Tracking leads on D365
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
  • Updating the company website

Video Productions:

  • Assist the marketing team in brainstorming video content
  • Act as support/assistant on all video shoots
  • Uploading of content across company platforms
  • Responsible for maintaining video catalogues


  • Processing invoices for the department
  • Researching and scheduling team events
  • Ensuring the internal marketing portal is kept up to date and relevant
  • Collaborate on annual marketing planning
  • Perform market analysis and research on competition
  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks


Essential qualifications

  • Advanced Diploma or Bachelors in Marketing, Communications, Digital or related discipline

Desirable Qualifications

  • Additional certifications in digital marketing, design, digital design or related

Experience & Skills

  • No formal working experience required
  • Ideally you will have strong writing skills, good proofreading skills and an eye for detail
  • Familiarity with industry standard social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
  • Able to act as a company ambassador
