Travelstart Internship Programme 2021

Description: Apply now for the Travelstart Internship Programme 2021. As part of our 12 month program, interns will participate in structured trainings across a variety of digital operations subjects. Our interns work closely alongside key members of our operations teams (mentors) 2-5 days per week (based on the hours on the contract). Interns are included at operations meetings at every level, are regularly challenged to contribute ideas that will lead Travelstart’s business and operations success.

1. Front Office 

Reference: Operations Intern - Front Office

Responsibilities

Interns will receive structured training from staff members in the operations department. They will practice skills that include but are not limited to:

  • Customer support via whatsapp in order to resolve all client issues with good customer service skills.
  • Assisting clients with airline queries i.e basic date changes, refund quotes, airline info and special requests.
  • Ensure that emails are processed within SLA.
  • Providing excellent customer service adhering to quality and quantity standards as specified by Travelstart.

Skills Requirements

  • Fluent in English -other languages would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills, approachable nature
  • Able to multitask
  • Proactive
  • Previous experience in the Travel industry beneficial, not mandatory

2. Back Office

Reference: Operations Intern - Back Office

Interns will receive structured training from staff members in the operations department. They will practice skills that include but are not limited to:

  • Customer support via email in order to resolve all client issues with good customer service skills.
  • Assisting clients with airline queries i.e basic date changes, refund quotes, airline info and special requests.
  • Ensure that emails are processed within SLA.
  • Providing excellent customer service adhering to quality and quantity standards as specified by Travelstart.
Skills Requirements

3. Junior Marketing

Reference: Junior Marketing Intern

To assist in creating, running and deploying marketing campaigns across brands, markets and channels by actively being involved in the marketing processes and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

The role and responsibilities for the Junior Marketing Intern is to assist the marketing team on day-to-day operations, administrative tasks and execution of all campaigns internally and externally to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the scheduling and deployment of content for social media
  • Assist in day-to-day operations and marketing deployment for affiliates
  • Assist in creating briefs and updating Asana tasks
  • Assist in the deployment of Web and app push marketing
  • Conduct Marketing research and analysis
  • Update marketing communications calendars
  • Support marketing executives in organizing various projects

Skills Requirements

  • Sound understanding of marketing communications
  • The ability to problem solve
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship skills.
  • Fast learner with an ability to adapt techniques based on requirements.
  • An open mindset and will seek out feedback to refine and develop their skills.
  • A warrior spirit
